Lets go Team Windy!!

So what should you expect joining Team Windy?

WVSC provides one of the most extensive sports programs in the area. Not only do we offer more days on snow than many others (15 expected for the 23/24 NGSL season) we will offer additional camps for all age groups over Christmas and Spring break (pre registration, payment and minimum numbers are required for NGSL members)

Camps for Christmas and Spring Break are INCLUDED for all advance race program member participants.

Although skiing is our jam, we in alignment with Alpine Canada, are a multi-sport club.  Throughout the Spring May/June and Fall Sept/October our program director provides an array of dryland activities designed to improve team building, strength, agility and overall fitness.  The group meet after school 1.30pm Fridays at Mount Nelson Athletic park and the Dryland is open to all members U10+.  WVSC also offer a minimum of two week long camps during the summer break.  Dryland is INCLUDED in the registration at NO additional fee.

Interested in the Dryland team training?  Check the box for more info when you register!

Our world class coaching team will help to develop your childs skills over time that will see them exploring the whole mountain in a safe and fun way with great team mates that they will be excited to see every week!

There is a variety of programs on offer that mean your child can grow and progress in ability with programs to match each stage.

As your child progresses in their ability and confidence throughout the season there are opportunities to join the racing focused teams that will see them meet Saturdays and Sundays where they will spend their morning on technical improvements and afternoons exploring the amazing slopes at Panorama.  There is an open option throughout the season to try this at anytime.

The last Sunday afternoon of each month all the kids will participate in the Lustis Cup! This ‘race‘ afternoon long standing tradition where kids can show off their newly acquired skills and confidence and race not only each other but choose to race their coaches and parents too! Its is a lot of fun and laughter and we end with hot chocolate for the whole family on the deck at Mountain Outfitters.

Throughout the season the club will host a few social events in the way of informal socials, dinners and end of day BBQ gatherings, where WVSC families can get to know each other and relax!

We are also working with the clubs in our region (Team Panorama, Fernie, Kimberly Ski club and Golden Kicking Horse Alpine Club) to organize one or two races during the season the season and we can attend with interested families.

The Windermere Valley Ski Club has been the perfect club for our children’s development. The coaches are outstanding, detailed and thoughtful about the kids and their skiing abilities. It is worth the drive from Calgary to be apart of this amazing ski club
